Have you experienced low blood glucose? Some people are afflicted with a disorder called hypoglycemia. Basically, hypoglycemia (hypo=low, gly=sugar, altai balance better Business bureau emia=blood) means "low blood glucose." This takes place once the high sugar amount in the bloodstream drops below the time where it is able to fuel the body's activities. It usually happens after ingesting big dishes, foods full of sugar or perhaps refined high-glycemic index foods or carbs: sugar goes up, insulin surges, and then - rather rapidly - blood sugar decline. The hypoglycemia is a result of an "undershoot" wherein sugar levels fall below the level that existed before you ate. This reaction, known as reactive hypoglycemia, invariably arises in reaction to ingesting the wrong types of foods.
Many of my patients experience symptoms they attribute to sugar that is low, but when analyzed the blood glucose is typical. This typically occurs if the blood glucose shoots up and then quickly declines. The indicators are brought on by the velocity at which blood glucose drops, not the actual sugar amount.

A healthy diet keeps blood sugar levels more or less constant, boosting it at times if you require more energy, and letting it wane if you require less - but generally never to the stage just where it causes a bad reaction. Naturally, almost none individuals do that. Think about it: have you eaten a huge meal? Have you bought consumed a rich dessert, often in an oversized serving, in a fine restaurant? Have you ever gotten home late at night, tired although not sleepy, and had a soothing bowl of ice cream? Have you ever quenched the afternoon carb craving of yours with a bag of a snack or maybe potato chips bar? All these steps spiked the sugar of yours.
When blood glucose drops rapidly, symptoms are available on strong. You feel hungry (already!), tired, sleepy, and fatigued; the heart rate of yours picks up as well as sweating increases. The things you want to do is take a nap, and that is the most awful thing you can do - your metabolic rate slows to a crawl. But you almost certainly can't sleep anyway, despite the fact that you feel sleepy; with your heart pounding as well as the added sweating, you feel annoyed, jazzed, and irritated. Eating carbohydrates makes mind serotonin levels surge. Serotonin calms you and makes you sleepy, slowing the metabolism of yours. This, of course, leads to fat gain, and generates a vicious circle.
We all have these signs from time to time. All of us like to eat, and then we don't always eat what's good for us. What we can do is fight the appetite and the urge to sleep: we are able to take a walk, engage in certain physical activity. We can do something to maintain or raise our metabolism as well as level out our sugar.
Endocrinologists treat men and women with reactive hypoglycemia when you use them take in low glycemic index carbohydrates spread out in multiple small meals during the day. This particular type of eating decreases blood glucose surges and the insulin spikes which follow. It balances the hungry hormones of yours, by raising the stress hormones which make you really feel full and decreasing the hormones that allow you to hungry.
